The Predicament of "Love Affairs"
[I have complete respect for the deceased Sarima Rahman, and i am not blaming her for anything here. She was I suppose a naive girl who got trapped by a menacing boy, and may Allah forgive her with His countless mercy, ameen]
Well, i have seen people saying "we are committed...", " we are in an open relationship" and this and that. But in reality they don't actually know what they are doing. However, I don't look down on the ones that fall in love since it's a natural inclination toward the opposite sex.
Please don't take me wrong but religion is not the only issue here. If anyone opens their mind and thinks will surely realize that when they fall in love they lose their sleep, they lose the happiness and fun of life until they get their love. And what if they don't get the one they love? Yes, right! Most of them these days start saying this life is not worth living, i need to die!
SubhanAllaah, i have seen how religion always proves to be the ultimate healer of the disease called "prem-rog" or "love-craze" or whatever you may like to call it. well, I wont be revealing my story here (lol) because that's not my intention for writing this note InshAllaah.
why are you lookin at me eh? Are you thinkin I am self-contradictin myself? First I say religion is not the only issue and now I am saying religion is the ultimate healer? Wait! I am gonna clarify this a bit inshAllah. You see we human beings have to live for something. I mean really can anyone live without dependin on anything? Dependence is essential in a person's life. Of course, I am not tellin you to become momma's boys, so don't be deceived inshAllaah........Lol....:p
What I mean is you must need some sort of authority to control your life. When you do not find peace anywhere then who do you go to? - Your Creator. Even if i assume you are not a Muslim I can say for certain you do have Allah for yourself and you do believe in Him but you just don't recognize Him. Whenever any person of any race or religion gets afflicted with some serious trial they cry out- "oh God! Help me out". This clearly says it is our natural disposition to realize the power Allah has over our lives.
Turning to Allah therefore is the only option left to us if we are to truly experience our spiritual void. And the love you and I define is created by Allah The Almighty. We know He is Peace and from Him is Peace, and to Him is the return.

A dire Warning to the brothers and sisters of Brac
This hadith, however,is not to be misunderstood. No offense to the sisters but it's how Allah created us men that we are visual beings. When we see a woman we get attracted while the women get attracted to men by hearing their voices. Yes it's our weakness that we very easily fall prey to satan when it comes to dealing with women. But it is also an obligation upon the Muslim women that they cover themselves properly. Indeed Allah didn't tell them to cover for the pleasure of it, no! Women are to be covered and they are a very precious creation of Allah azza wajjal, Allah has honored the women and now it's upon them to preserve this honor.
Now going back to brac, why do I say brac is a fitna? I say this because I found some serious issues with a few people up there. There is this hidden club named LYGen [ Liberal Youth Generation]and I ask you all to remember the name be careful of it. It's a club founded in NSU and they are affiliated with HT[ Hizbut Tahrir]. These folks are deviating the pious brothers of brac and kinda "brainwashing" them in order that they associate with them in their misguidance.
Basically I am writing this note to warn my brothers and sisters of Brac, so that they can keep themselves aware of them. I ask you all to not associate yourselves with some group as grouping is forbidden in Islaam Allah has told us not to divide among ourselves. And this HT by making "hizb is going against the Qur'an openly. You practice Islam wholeheartedly inshAllaah do whatever is obligatory upon you, please note I am not telling you to compromise your Islaam. But I am just telling you to practice Islaam the right way InshAllaah.

Thinking of the future
We never once consider how in the world they were to do anything except for begging. Where is our sense of humor? Why do we scold at 'em? Is it our concern to wonder about what could they do and what should they be doing? Should we not seriously try and change the situation and act like civil people instead of pointing fingers at 'em? We don't know their intention, do we? Then whats the point in arguing with people about their intentions?
We should really look at ourselves instead. And check what our intentions are. Whenever a beggar knocks your car's window can you put your hand on your heart and say you don't get annoyed? Don't worry, if your answer is "no", cause I feel annoyed too. But we should change our mindset and stop treating them like dirt. Cause in countries like Bangladesh these people are the majority of the population.
Rich children will anyhow find their ways, but do we realize what will happen to these poor children? They are the majority, and it is upon us to educate them.
And what education am I talking about? A,B,C,D,E,F,G..............and that's it?
No these children should be educated inside out, so that they can lead this country in the future. When can someone lead a country properly?
Simple. When one has a better understanding of his religion. And it is especially true about Muslims, if we look at the Islamic caliphate we we would see how impeccably the Caliphs had ruled in the bygone era.
If they could do it then these children in the future can do the same too. Only if we could nurture them properly. If these children are given the proper understanding of the teachings of Islam, then we are sure to succeed in all the facets of life.

know what are you living?
I'm not denouncing anyone, so please don't get me wrong. I am just trying to portray our situation as Muslims. My outcry to all of you is whatever you are-a Buddhist, Christian, Jew or Muslim. Know your faith, and if you don't know your faith then at least try to know about it. If, however, you don't want to learn about your faith then without a doubt it's not a true faith and in that case you should not affiliate yourself with the community you are in until you have a basic understanding of it.

World cup finaL 2010 South Africa: Spain vs the Netherlands
I mean doesn't he know that Spain is the only team which has the likes of Pepe Reina and Victor Valdes sitting on the side bench?
And their main stand in the goal bar is Igar Cassillas, who is one of the best goalies in the world right now. I want to remind you all that he saved the day against Paraguay by making that crucial penalty save.
I don't say Netherlands don't have a chance to win this game. But I don't suppose their chances are any higher than Spain to come out as winners if the match goes down to the wires.

The fairy tale of an Octopus
Being a Muslim I don't believe this octopus has any knowledge of the unseen. These are just coincidences. And people are sure to make an issue out of it. I urge you all not to buy this nonsense. How can an Octopus make prediction? Isn't it ridiculous?
Lol.Well tonight I badly prayed for Uruguay so that they prove this "Octopus prediction" wrong. But unfortunately it didn't happen, after a lot of drama they came out as losers.
It was really tragic. First the scoreline was 1-0 for Germany, then 1-1, then 2-1 for Uruguay, 2-2 Germany equalized, and finally 3-2 for Germany. The final drama happened at the 90th minute when Uruguay won a direct free kick. And the free kick was taken by the Uruguayan hero Diego Forlan. And the shot hit the upright!
At one point I thought Uruguay is gonna win but their luck overtook them.
Bangladesh vs England
Bangladesh really played brilliantly today. They fought, fought and finally they beat England. The new skipper Mashrafi Bin Murtaza took 2 wickets, and he performed just at the right time.
I don't know what will happen in the remaining matches. But at least now we can say that Bangladesh have beaten all test playing nations. However, I doubt their consistency. Bangladesh have never shown consistency in anything. Today they play well and do terribly tomorrow.
Bangladeshi cricket team knows how to play. The problem is they don't know how to win. So they must keep on winning. I suppose today's win could be a good one for a start. And I hope this continues.
My Best wishes to the Bangladesh Cricket team.
Just do it folks.
Cheers.

Do you really need a title?...:-S
I hate this business in my life. Why do I have to do so many things at a time? I need a break. I don't want to lose my patience, but I don't know what happens to me sometimes, I feel horrible. I am doing an internship at the University Press Limited, it's a good place to be in and my colleagues are also very helpful.
My University is going at its own pace too. The courses are not that boring, but you sometimes do feel like throwing the books at the instructor and go somewhere you don't know! Who wants to attend classes that are instructed by Zombies???? I don't!
I don't know as to how I passed all these years at this freakin University!!! A mystery really. When I attended the residential semester in my 1st year at school, I had to attend drill classes and sing the national anthem while saluting the national flag.! I don't know how many of you have really heard of such a "loser" idea in your life. I am sure there is no University more "painful" than Brac.
I had never been deserted in my life before the residential semester. I had to live far away from my parents, I missed them. And ask me what else did miss? I missed Ammu's handmade foods, her "Jhari" ( Scolding), watching sports with Abbu, quarreling with my older sister.
Dear friends, I don't want to take your sympathy but trust me I had no real friends at that time. For some unknown reason, none liked being my friend. Some people smiled back to me while others didn't. Some people talked to me and others didn't. May be I was a bore, I couldn't hit "dirty" jokes as they say!
Whatever it was, my mission to befriend someone was a real flop!
I was also a bit unlucky at that time. No one picked me for the Cricket team, and obviously I couldn't play. But hey I was one of the cheerleaders of the team......:P
and guess what? I was also given a medallion as a part of the team. Fascinating is it not?

Argentina's match at 5:30! I don't wanna go to University.....:(
It's 10:57 AM in the morning, raining outside. I have a class at 2:00 PM...:(. Don't wanna spoil the mood and attend this boring Globalization and Media class. Besides there is a world cup match at 5:30 PM and most importantly it's Argentina who are playing against South Korea. I have a mixed feeling, on one hand I love Argentine football and on the other I can't see an Asian soccer power lose! It may be that deep down in my mind I hope that South Korea do well.....:-s
Now, let's get down to business. There has been a lot of debate going on who will win the world cup? I really hope Argentina win, but only God knows what happens in the end. Many people are saying Messi will win the world cup for Argentina. Well, to me it sounds like a pipe dream although I support Argentina. But let's face it! A football game is not won single handedly. We have to accept the fact that not everyone is a Maradona! Argentina can only win as a team. And that I believe is very much possible. Argentina played good football in their first match. But the finishing was just not there. However, I would not hesitate giving the credit to the Nigerian goalie Enayama. He played exceptionally well! He saved a minimum of three certain goals which could have been scored by Messi.
Anyhow, if I look back and ponder upon Argentina's performance it concerns me much. Cause South Korea and Nigeria are not a same team. South Korean defense is more likely to be stronger than Nigeria's. And if the Argentine forwards suffer with this defense then they might even have to lose this game. Only time will tell what turns out in reality.
Diego Maradona is the coach, not me!!!...:) He knows what to do. And he surely has a master plan against South Korea. I just want to see whether this plan works out or not.
